Data Deletion

Effective 23 April 2026

Your data on Foresyn

When an Instagram business account is connected to Foresyn, we store inbound/outbound direct messages, workflow metadata (drafts, reviewer decisions, response-time metrics), and a small profile snapshot (handle, IG user id). This page explains how to have that data removed.

How to request deletion

There are two ways to delete your data:

  1. Revoke the app from Instagram: open Instagram, go to Settings and activity Apps and websites, find Foresyn-IG, tap Remove. Foresyn will receive Meta’s deauthorization callback and delete all messages and workflow data associated with the account within 30 days.
  2. Email us: send a request from the email address associated with the account to privacy@foresyn.ai with the subject “Data deletion request” and the Instagram handle you want removed. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Stored copies of direct messages sent to or from the account.
  • Workflow records (draft text, reviewer decisions, send confirmations, latency metrics).
  • Account profile snapshot (handle, IG user id, webhook subscription record).
  • The webhook subscription itself (we call DELETE /me/subscribed_apps on your behalf so Meta stops delivering events).

What we keep

After deletion we retain only minimal ledger entries required by law or to prevent fraud: a hashed identifier of the removed account, the date of removal, and the reason for the deletion request. These entries do not contain message content or personal profile data.
